Homesteading one day at a time

Hello, my name is Troy. I would love to go completely off grid or close to it eventually, figure I better find a partner to spend the time with first, so here I am. 42 Male.

A little history... I was a mechanic for 20 years, Army for 8 years, and the tech industry for 10 years, obviously with some overlaps. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science plus 2 lesser degrees. I became an Oklahoma State Master Gardener in October 2023. Never Married. 1 Child that is 17. Currently working on ¼ acre in zone 7A where I am building a new greenhouse. I like woodworking, cooking, building things, gardening, dancing, IoT programming, and spending time with family and friends.

I am interested in being completely off-grid eventually, not set in stone, but with the right teammate it could be. I am willing to relocate/sell after dating for a few years. There are lands available nearby to invest in in the future, but I feel like when the time comes to upgrade the land, it would be worth it to look at locations around the country. Come grow with me!
